Not so many years ago I didn't even know what a blog was. As of today I now have one. As I write this I feel something like the sensation of having moved into a new house. What are the possibilities? What wonderfully memorable things are going to happen here? How can I arrange the furniture so that it is comfortable for guests?
First a word about the title of the blog... "Promising Tomorrows" is the name of the song played in the queue for Space Mountain at Walt Disney World. It's a simple melody, featuring a trumpet solo that stays with you once you've heard it a few times. Given my love for Walt Disney World, I've had the chance to hear it more than a few times. The title of the song speaks to me too. I think tomorrow is always promising. For all the reasons I have sometimes have to grumble and complain, I ultimately believe that God is at work in the world around us -leading us from wherever we are today to a more promising tomorrow.
